ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT POLICY
Kaser Al-Behar Company (KBC) acknowl edges a moral and legal responsibility for the safeguarding of the environment; accordingly, KBC is committed to minimising its impact upon the environment and to ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. KBC strives to achieve the highest standards of environmental protection at every stage of the operations by upholding the basic principles of environmental management. Protecting the environment is considered as important as protecting the safety of KBC employees. KBC is an ISO 14001 certified company
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
To achieve our responsibilities, KBC is committed to:
•Implementing, documenting, reviewing and maintaining an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on impact assessments and in line with acceptable international system standards.
•Ensuring the communication of the Policy and EMS with its requirements to all personnel under its direction through induction and training
Monitoring the effectiveness of this communication and the understanding of the requirements by individuals on the project throughout their daily tasks.
•Enforcing management responsibility within a project to ensure compliance with the EMS and relevant environmental legislation, regulations and standards.
•Reducing and, where possible,eliminating and preventing any harmful effects on the environment and community due to soil, air and water pollution or waste generation.
•Monitoring and reporting on our energy and water usage.
•Liaising openly with, and reporting publicly to all interested and affected parties on environmental matters.
•Monitoring and reporting upon the effectiveness of the EMS on an annual basis to ensure continual improvement and compliance.
•Reviewing, at board level, the set targets, objectives and policy on an annual basis to monitor progress and achievement.
•Using quantitative objectives and targets to monitor and measure progress in all key areas as soon as these have been established and ratified by senior management.
